Jubilee San Antonio Seniors are awarded over $100,000 in merit-based scholarships

Two Jubilee San Antonio Seniors were awarded $104,000 in merit-based scholarships. Jubilee Academies encourages senior students to dive into a culture of possibilities after high school. We offer a variety of programs to assist our students' journeys with our Career and Technical Education program and our outstanding counselors' direction in applying for scholarships and universities.

Kylee Rodriguez was accepted into the University of Incarnate Word on December 6th, 2023, and received a presidential scholarship worth $80,000 for four years! She plans on majoring in Criminology. She shares, "Jubilee Academies has played a role in helping me receive the scholarship because of the support I have been receiving. Jubilee San Antonio staff members have helped me find this scholarship and understand all of the requirements needed to be considered for the scholarship."

Benjamin Schutte was accepted into the University of Texas A&M College Station on January 2nd, 2024, and received the Regience scholarship worth $24,000 over four years. Benjamin plans on majoring in Etymology. Jubilee San Antonio has assisted in receiving the scholarship "by providing a great counselor, teachers, coaches, and extracurricular activities." - Benjamin Schutte

Brandon Sheppard, a Secondary Education Counselor for Jubilee San Antonio, shares how he utilizes technology, student strengths, and goals to assist in recommending the best options and opportunities available to his students. "I encourage the students to speak and write about their experiences in school and obstacles they have overcome when applying for scholarships. I can have one-on-one time with students to sit down with them and apply for scholarships that pertain to their major. When scholarship committees are looking at scholarships and are looking for winners, they take into consideration how a student has managed good academic standing while helping out their community to showcase who they are awarding their scholarship to." - Brandon Sheppard

Congratulations to our seniors and future leaders in our community!
