Easter Egg Hunt at Jubilee Livingway
Jubilee Livingway - The Easter Egg Hunt was a lively and colorful event that brought together children and families from all over the neighborhood. The sun was shining, the air was fresh and filled with the sounds of laughter and excitement as children eagerly waited to start their hunt. The event coordinators had hidden hundreds of brightly colored eggs all around the park, some were easily visible while others were cleverly tucked away in bushes and trees.
As soon as the signal was given, the children raced around the park, searching high and low, peeking behind benches and under rocks, in hopes of finding as many eggs as possible. Some children were carefully counting their eggs, while others were already enjoying their treats.
The joy on the children's faces as they found each egg was infectious, and parents could be seen cheering and snapping photos to capture these special moments. The hunt went on for an hour, and by the end of it, every child had a basket full of colorful eggs and happy memories to cherish. It was truly a delightful event that brought together the community in the spirit of fun, laughter, and celebration.

Bexar Fest
BexarFest is an annual showcase & awards night celebrating philanthropy through multimedia in the SATX community. Each year, high school media production students are paired with local nonprofit organizations to create outreach materials for the nonprofit to use in its own marketing. High school teams learn valuable skills by putting together a promotional video, 12 photos, music, and lastly a advertisment for the nonprofit. Teams are recognized in various multimedia categories such as Best Cinematography, Best Sound, etc.
Jubilee Brownsville this year partnered up with United Way and created a 3 minute documentary, a half sized advertisement, 12 photos and original music. Our team was one of the 11 new teams that joined BexarFest this year. Bexarfest presented Jubilee Brownsville with the Jesus Ramirez Newcomer of the Year award. This award is presented to the BEST of first-time contest entrants.

A Look Inside the Classroom
Thank you for Dr. Horvath share his expertise, and relate it to the awesome Project Lead The Way projects our students are working on. Dr. Horvath is a planetary scientist whose research focuses on the hydrology and climate histories of Mars and Titan. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Popular Science and BBC to name a few.
Mr. Ramirez's enthusiasm and dedication to his students has taken the PLTW flight and space class to the next level. His strong science background and project-problem based learning practices have helped our students succeed in their PLTW course. We are very lucky to have him in our team. Our inquisitive students had great questions and a chance to use Google Mars to better understand the red planet's geology and hydrology.
