Counselor's Corner
This year, National Blue Ribbon Week will be observed from April 3 to 9. This important day that is marked every first week of April was set up in order to raise awareness about child abuse and the several detrimental effects it has on communities in the U.S. Children are the most vulnerable age group. As adults, we must ensure we do everything in our power to help, protect, and nurture them. Even as adults, our childhood experiences leave lasting impressions on us. Therefore, it is extremely important to provide young ones with the best childhood experiences possible.
Jubilee Academies participates in the ChildSafe Cardboard Kids , city-wide San Antonio public awareness campaign to draw attention to the pervasiveness of child abuse and the fact that every story is different and every child unique. While Cardboard Kids will begin distribution in March, they will be decorated and placed all over San Antonio on “Reveal Day,” Thursday, April 7 2022. Cardboard Kids social media campaigns, volunteers, and community partners, like YOU, guarantee a greater awareness of the problem of child abuse. Let us all be a champion for those who have spoken up as well as for those who need a voice.
