Jubilee-Kingsville GEAR UP Poetry Challenge

At the Jubilee-Kingsville Gear Up Kick-off event, guest speaker, Joaquin Zihuatanejo invited the audience to write a poem. All the students did a phenomenal job!

I am the moon
The moon that shines within darkness
To create light to see in the dark
And save them from suffering within desolation
I show them that my light will help those continue to walk forward
I create the light for them to see their path
As I the moon, Shine down to the dark

Ethan Lee - 7th Grade
