A Message from our Superintendent

Dear Jubilee Nation,

What an incredible year! A special shout out to all parents for their continued partnership and commitment to your child(s) academic success. Congratulations on another academic year in the books. We know the current events that have occurred around the country and most recently, the tragic loss in Uvalde, has left all of us with a heavy heart. Jubilee wants to assure you our number one commitment is keeping our students and staff safe. Over the summer months, we will be reviewing and increasing our safety procedures and plans. As those details become more concrete, we will be sure to provide updates. In addition, Jubilee will be training all staff on the importance of building relationships with students as well as training them on specific behaviors to increase their relational capacity. The health and mental wellness of our community is something Jubilee takes great pride in and will continue to offer the necessary resources for our campus communities.

Something new to look forward to…E-Sports! Every campus is looking for sponsors to help roll out our next tech initiative. We know our gamers will be very excited about this news. I encourage you to help spread the word. More information will be provided very soon.

The Superintendent's Advisory Council (SAC) met and shared plans for next year. Jubilee will have students and parents continue to sit on the SAC for the 2022-2023 school year. If you are not involved and are interested, keep an eye out for the interest form we send out at the beginning of the school year.

Have you heard of our newest ambassador group? Jubilee-San Antonio has an amazing group of Jubi-leaders who are learning how to overcome adversity and be leaders in all situations. I am really proud of the students and parents who participated in the end of year meeting. We will look to expand Jubi-Leaders to more campuses this coming year.

Last but not least, I wanted to share Jubilee will be shifting our curriculum focus to better align with state resources. This will help us ensure we are using the appropriate level of curriculum to teach our students to meet state standards.

2022-2023 is around the corner and you don’t want to miss out on all the new amazing opportunities Jubilee has to offer! Refer a friend and secure your spot TODAY!

Happy Summer,

Dr. Kevin Phillips, Superintendent of Schools

Our Hearts are with Uvalde

Following the senseless and tragic events in Uvalde, Jubilee Academies counselors are organizing the delivery of books for students and teachers. This is a book that helps with children and grief. The original goal was to send 200 books. Since, we have gone above and beyond due to the many generous donations from staff, families and even the Author, Patrice Karst. They are currently at over 1500 books to give to those at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. Our leaders will be making the delivery in person to pay our respects. Thoughts and love are with all the families in the Uvalde community.

CTE & GEAR UP News

At Jubilee-Wells Branch Frost Bank offers an educational financial literacy program to school-aged students. They teach K-12 students age-appropriate information on what money is, where it goes, why to save and what to save for, with an emphasis on saving for college. This is why GEAR UP has teamed up with Frost as a Financial literacy partner. They visited our campus kinder classrooms, and read a book to them. This book was written just for Frost by a local Austinite, and gifted every student with a DIY piggy bank! We will extend these opportunities to every grade next school year.

School Lunch Hero Day

Between preparing healthy food, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student food allergies, and offering service with a smile, Jubilee nutrition professionals have a lot on their plate. To celebrate hard work and commitment, Jubilee schools celebrated School Lunch Hero Day on May 6th. School Lunch Hero Day provides an opportunity for parents, students and communities to thank those who provide healthy meals to nearly 30 million of America’s students each school day.
