Hispanic Heritage Month

Jubilee-Westwood celebrated 16 de Septiembre and the start of Hispanic Heritage Month with a joyous celebration! We had a guest speaker, folklorico dancers, and student performances from our ACCESS and Theater Arts Program. We loved how our staff collaborated together to plan our first cultural presentation of the school year!

National Hispanic Recognition Award Brownsville students earned this recognition because of their academic achievements in school and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT®, PSAT™ 10, and/or AP® Exams. They've accomplished these milestones during an immensely demanding period of their high school career. We couldn't be more delighted to share this great news.

Big Give

The Big Give is a non-profit, charitable website that enables donors to find and support charity projects in their field of interest. We raised approx. $1,000 of which will go toward senior scholarships. Thank you for sharing and giving!

San Antonio Charter Moms

Síclovía is a free, bi-annual event, organized by the YMCA of Greater San Antonio, that turns city streets into a safe place for exercise and play. The family-friendly event encourages residents and visitors to get out, get active and explore their city through car-free streets. The Y accomplishes this by activating parks, bringing exposure to local businesses and inviting community organizations.

Our recruitment team went out to support the San Antonio Charter Moms in having a fun basketball game and meeting with families.

National Gear Up! Week

Epic Entertainment - Came out to all of our campuses this past week. Kazoo, the mascot, and his team talked to our students about Bully Prevention, Character and Reading, and also our DDV Values!

Thank you for coming out to hang with our students and staff.

Mastery Playbook events were also held at select schools to talk future plans with our students . Each student and parent got to work together to identify/share their future goals and expectations around post- sencondary education. It was a very exciting and eye opening event for everyone who participated.
