“It’s Electric!” Summer School at Jubilee

Science Guy, Professor Proton, visited San Antonio campuses last week for Summer Learning! Professor Proton discussed scientific terms related to magnetic fields and electricity. The students exercised critical thinking skills by applying the scientific method to experiments conducted during the visit.

Students were challenged to apply what they learned in the classroom with our highly skilled educators. Curiosity flooded the room as students trickled into the classroom. When faced with the opportunity to interact with new technology, students excitedly awaited their turn to engage with science. Activities for the day ranged from experimenting with magnetism, physics, electricity, and a Van de Graaff generator! See the image gallery for photos of the silver generator and our students.
