Dual Language Program

Mission: To educate Emergent Bilingual students to become bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate by providing specialized instruction in a culturally diverse learning environment.

The Dual Language Immersion Program is an academic bilingual program model that integrates English proficient and English learners. This model teaches the state-required Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and the English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS). This research-based program provides instruction in both English and Spanish.

Program Benefits

Students benefit cognitively, academically, and culturally when they develop proficiency in more than one language as measured by standardized achievement testing in addition to positive reports from parents, teachers, and administrators.
