Being determined to succeed is an important skill we develop to help us lead ourselves. Follow the directions for the activity in this section.
Read the following to your student:
Being gritty means demanding more of ourselves than anyone else could ever demand of us, knowing that every time we stop, we can still do more. Remember, winners finish, so we never quit until we finish. If we don’t finish we don’t win.
Discuss with your student the following, to develop their grit and determination that will result in a life of character. You may use the prompts in the Parent Guide to assist in the discussion.
Pursue your passion by finding something that fascinates you.
Practice relentlessly with a vision of getting better every day.
Connect your passion to a higher purpose in life.
