Jubilee Academies Dominates SkillsUSA

Jubilee Academies dominated the SkillsUSA competition this year, with 46 students qualifying in their categories! Jubilee Academies Career, Technical, and Education (CTE) students from across five campuses have proudly represented Jubilee Academies at the regional SkillsUSA competitions last month. SkillsUSA is a national Career and Technical Student Organization designed to provide students with opportunities to acquire and hone critical occupational skills in their programs of study, including public speaking and leadership. 

Jubilee Lake View University Prep (JLVUP), Jubilee San Antonio (JSA), Jubilee Kingsville (JK), Jubilee Leadership Academy (JLA), and Jubilee Brownsville (JB) dominated in gold, or first place, in one category or more! Reference the chart below to see how each school ranked.

Irma Sarmiento, Director of the Jubilee Academies CTE program, expresses that the team is "very proud of all of the participants from the South Central, Coastal Bend, and RGV regions."

Assistant Director of CTE, Erica Esquivel, expressed deep gratitude for Jubilee Academies educators and students who participated in the competition. The district would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to CTE Coordinators, Mr. McCormick and Mr. Pacheco.
